Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy is an evidence-based approach to health and wellbeing, optimising one’s health potential through individualised diet, supplement and testing plan. I use the Functional Medicine approach to get to the root cause of your health issues.

Nutritional Therapists do not only look at what’s in your plate (although that is very important) but understand that it is ‘not what we eat but rather what we can digest’. The gut is the core of all your health, we often say.

We also look closely at your lifestyle, sleep, stress, and exercise levels to optimise your health. We use testing (when needed) through private laboratories to get to the root cause of your health issues and dig deeper to find out how to help you best.

I assess everyone differently, and each person I work with will receive a bespoke, personalised program of intervention, but here is some information about the process I follow to learn more about you as an individual and what you might expect when we work together.

A white plate with two fried eggs, diced sweet potatoes, sautéed onions, and fresh greens, on a wooden surface with a fork and cloth napkin nearby.
Whole and halved figs on a white fabric background.
Two slices of bread topped with beet hummus, sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes, and mixed greens on a dark plate, placed on a wooden surface.

How it works in practice.

"Marika approached my case with the utmost care and detail. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Her plan really helped me with my digestion issues and overall health. She is so pleasant and easy to work with and I highly recommend that everyone takes this step and starts working with Marika, She is the best Nutritionist."
